On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the activities included in the Colloquium, the product of a joint effort between the Faculty of Education in Osijek and the Department of Mathematics, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek.
The Colloquium will take place on Friday and Saturday, May 9-10, 2025, on the premises of the Faculty of Education in Osijek, Cara Hadrijana 10.
The purpose of the Colloquium is a scientific discussion about the position and the role of a mathematics teacher within the academic community, the education system and the broader social environment, the challenges with higher accessibility and implementation of the new technologies in teaching, and education directed towards efficient preparation for students' future accomplishments.
The scientific colloquium encompasses (but is not limited to) the following topics:
- scientific research
- teaching experience
- mathematical education of teacher studies students
- mathematics teachers as popularizers of science
- mathematics teachers as initiators of progress and development within their communities
- application of ICT to education.
